MSc J. Sepp is a PhD (Pharm) student and a part-time assistant of Pharmacognosy at the Institute of Pharmacy.

J. Sepp obtained her MSc (Pharm) degree in 2009 at the University of Tartu. She started her doctorial studies at the Institute of Pharmacy in 2016 in the field of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry. Her thesis is entitled “Content and antimicrobial properties of herbal extracts obtained from chamomile species (Chamomilla spp.)“.

With colleagues from the Institute of Pharmacy, she launched a popular MOOC „Medicines Down to Earth“ (in 2019), which received the Estonian e-course quality label in 2020.

J. Sepp works at the State Agency of Medicines and contributes also to the Estonian Center for Integrity in Sports.

In 2020 Janne Sepp received professor Ain Raal's Grant in Pharmacognosy (FLORES Fund).
